Wasaga Beach Corvette Club
2005 Beach Cruise

Once again, we had a successful weekend. 228 registrants were treated to
“a day at the beach”. The two-day Beach event was filled with Corvettes, fun loving people and sunny (sometime) sky’s.

Our sponsors were treated to extensive exposure of their products and had many opportunities to demonstrate their active participation in the event.

The participants were able to preview their cars and see many others that
make the pastime of corvette collecting a sight to behold.

The Friday Hospitality Night at the “Dard”, after the Funkhana, was well attended and everyone enjoyed a free beverage and lots of food. The camaraderie of owners and family(s) were evident in the room
and out on the patio.

The cruise and award presentation was attended by many of the owners.

The third day, on Sunday, a slalom event sponsored by Quad “C” was
conducted at the Huronia Midland airport. This event had approximately 15 participants, not all corvettes. The spectators enjoyed watching many fast passed rounds through the timing lights. Some even got to be a passenger
and had a thrill of a lifetime.

The Wasaga Beach Corvette Club received many positive comments
on the Cruise Weekend.
The Wasaga Beach Corvette Club will soon be starting planning for the 2006 event. The dates for next year are August 18, 19, 20. Set this weekend
aside and plan to attend. We look forward to all corvette owners bringing
their cars to Wasaga Beach Corvette Club Cruise Weekend.
